Bike Tour Koh CHang – Frequently asked questions

Here’s my list of FAQ’s – the frequently asked questions about my Slow Life Cycling Bike Tour on Koh Chang. Hope that helps. If you still have questions, please feel free to contact me at any time.

Can the tour be booked every day?

Yes, basicly you can book the tour for every day of the week. I will get in touch with you after your booking and schedule the pick up from your hotel.

Will I be picked up from my hotel? And if, when?

Yes, you will be picked up from your hotel, the pick up is included in the price. Depending of the location of your hotel, you will be picked up between 7.30 am and 8.50 am. You will get the exact time and further information once I’ve received your booking.

Do you provide bikes or do I have to rent them elsewhere?

You get a nice 24 gear imported mountain bike and a helmet, the cost of the rental is included in the tour price.

How much is the bike tour?

The price for the tour is 1.500 THB per person.

Is there a discount if I book for a group?

The 1.500 THB per person is the final price.

What shall I bring onto the tour?

Bring some sun blocker and sunglasses – and if you want to jump into the waterfall basin – some extra clothes. Also, sports shoes are recommended.

What is the maximum size of a bike tour group?

The number of participants is limited to 8 people. Such a small group is much better in terms of your unique personal experience and also – in terms of safety.

Is there a minimum age and height for children as participants of the tour?

Children should be at least 10 years of age. Due to the size of the bikes and for safety reasons, the minimum height of participants of the tour is 150cm. Please make sure that you or your companions meet this requirement.

Can you provide a child seat for your bikes?

No, sorry, I can’t provide a child seat for the bikes.

When does the tour start?

The offical tour starts at 9.00 am at the starting point of the tour where you get the bikes and helmets.

How long does the bike tour take?

Usually the tour takes about 4-5 hours. As the name tells you – it’s a Slow Life Cycling tour. So if you guys want to swim a bit longer in the waterfall basin, thats fine. I enjoy that too! Total length of the ride is about 20 km.

Is it a difficult and challenging tour?

Most parts of our route are flat, there are just some parts that go up the hill where you will be rewarded with fascinating views. You will get a comfortable 24 gear imported mountain bike which is going to save your energy. Believe me, it’s fun and totally worth it!

What happens when it starts to rain?

You’ll get wet 🙂 Usually, the rain on Koh Chang doesn’t last very long, most likely about 10-30 minutes. If it starts raining during the tour, we will find some shelter – and of course rain coats will be provided. So no worries – it stays warm.
